Mee Audio is a very famous brand that makes amazing pairs of iem’s specifically for stage performers, with good soundstage and instrument clarity.
Mee Audio M6 Pro G2 is their budget pair priced at around 50$ on their website but during a sale, I got my hands on their brilliant pair for just 30$.
So without wasting any more time let’s find out how good is this pair.
Packaging & Built Quality:-
The packaging is a normal black cardboard box with Mee logo engraved on it and slid inside a white cardboard sheet with Mee Professional Logo.
Inside the black box lies a very good quality black colored carry case with Mee professional branding on one side and a black colored Mic Cable(which I chose myself to get for free as two cables are included in the purchase).
And inside the black carry pouch lies the beautiful earpieces with a white-colored wire without mic, several pairs of ear tips and a 3.5mm to 6.35mm connector.
There are 6 pairs of silicone tips included and 1 pair of memory foam tips too within the package.
The earpieces look really beautiful with transparent different colored shells which I personally chose to be while ordering.
Wire is of amazing quality which feels SPC covered with a white-colored plastic cover terminating at a 3.5mm plug.
Technical specs of Mee audio M6 pro g2 is as follows:-
- Single Moving coil 10mm dynamic driver unit
- 16 ohms impedance
- 20hz-20khz frequency response
- 30mW maximum power input
- A personalized small pin connector.
The IEM is neither MMCX nor the traditional 2 Pin connector, it has a personalized connector by MEE audio brand so in case you damage your cable or you need Bluetooth cable, you need to buy from Mee audio website.
Since they are designed as the inner portion of our ears, Fit is perfect for the IEM’s.
I wore these over the ear style and they gave me no issues for fit whatsoever.
They fit so well inside the ears that they won’t slip even while running or working out and will provide great noise isolation even in loud environments.
Mee Audio has been advertising this IEM as their beginner stage IEM and it gives output that makes it live up to that marketing strategy.
It is a single 10mm dynamic driver unit with an impedance of 16 ohms it is fairly easy to drive and your cellphone will give decent output out of these IEM’s.
Though I used two of my daps for this review, Fiio M6 and Acmee mf-01.
The IEM’s have an amazing instrument separation and good sound stage, sound signature is a slight V-shaped sound signature.
Even though it has a slight V shape sound signature the mids are not too back and are always in the limelight with amazing clarity on the soundstage.
But let’s discuss the different areas of the sound frequency spectrum here now.
Lows are decently detailed and there is good amounts of bass.
The bass is perfectly timed you will notice good thumps in songs like 2099 by Charli XCX, with good sub-bass details.
There is no leakage or overlapping of lows into mids I guess we should thank the stage type tuning for the pair for this.
I noticed that even though the sound signature is slight V-shaped, Mids are not laid back thanks to the tuning for the IEM.
Mids feel they are in the limelight here with good details on vocals and acoustic instruments.
You will be able to feel the guitar strings moving in The Beast by Angus Stone & Julia Stone, the air between the strings, it’s just mesmerizing.
Male/Female vocals feel amazing and neutral, they are neither thick nor thin they are just perfectly neutral and feel good.
Treble is very settled here, there is no sibilance of any kind even at higher volumes the sound is not piercing for my ears.
You can listen to songs like Now’s the Time by Collective Soul or Hey I’m Sorry by blink-182 and there is no piercing of any musical instrument.
The sound feels really soothing and smooth.
Soundstage and Instrument Separation:-
Instrument Separation and Soundstage are really good in this pair, Sound stage feels really wide and you can easily differentiate between different instruments being played or how they are placed on the stage really well.
You can try out songs by Yosi Horikawa to check the soundstage and try out some of the unplugged sessions to check the instrument separation for the IEM.
Finally all I can say is that this is an amazing pair of In-Ear Monitors available at a fairly decent price with a lot of accessories included in the box and good sound quality with crystal clear details in mids and soothing treble and adequate amounts of bass and amazing fit is like the icing on the cake.
For around 50$ this is an amazing pair of IEM which you can consider buying if you want good details in your music.
