So I guess the time is here, I am finally writing my review for my beloved DUNU DK-3001 Pro here on my blog. I have previously shared some images that I clicked for this gem and shared my initial impressions which you can check here. Before I start with my review I would like to tell you that I bought this unit with my own money and I am not affiliated/paid by any brand to write positive or negative review. My review reflects my thoughts according to what I heard from the past few months with the pair. I bought this from Hifigo, You can check this product on their store here. Let’s begin with the review.
The DUNU DK-3001 Pro is a multi-driver pair of IEMs from DUNU which is a very reputed brand when it comes to high-quality IEMs. The pair here is equipped with a five driver hybrid setup on each side featuring one beryllium dynamic driver unit paired with four Knowles balanced armature drivers. It comes with a high quality pure single-crystalline copper cable with DUNU patented switchable termination plugs.
The DUNU DK-3001 Pro comes in a rectangular cardboard package. There’s a transparent image of DK-3001 earpiece on the front with several branding logo’s like Spinfit, Knowles, and more. On the backside, we have a teardown image of the earpiece along with technical details. This is all on a white thin sheet when you slid out the main packaging that is a black colored plain box with the DUNU logo engraved on it. The contents in this box are in layers, the first layer contains the IEM’s with its cable and different termination plug.
On the second layer, there is green leather carry case and other accessories. The package comes with three pairs of SpinFit customized ear tips. The SpinFit ear tips have thinner silicone material used as compared to the aftermarket SpinFits. There are several other pairs of silicone ear tips included in the package and they are of pretty good quality. The package is pretty solid and comes with a lot of accessories.

Build Quality & Fit:-
The earpieces look very simple and elegant. They have a small form factor with high-quality 316L stainless steel material. They have a quite long nozzle that goes deep into my ear canal. I don’t have any issues with it as the fit is simply perfect, please note that I use my SpinFit CP100 with the pair. When I tried with the included SpinFits the fit was the same, but I personally feel like the silicone material used in the included SpinFits is thinner. The ear shells look beautiful and strong with a matte black finish and silver DUNU logo on the faceplate with a beveled design. They have R and L printed on the inner side to identify the right and left side earpiece easily. The pair looks phenomenally classy and elegant.
The cable included in the package is of very good quality. It is a 4-core braided cable made up of single crystalline copper. It has a DUNU patented modular plug design that provides the freedom of using any output port. The cable has R and L engraved on the MMCX connectors to identify the sides. The leather carry case is also of very good quality, it looks rich and has enough space to carry the pair. Other accessories are of pretty decent quality.
The pair is lightweight and sits firmly into my ears. For me, the fit is perfect sealing the entire ear canal. Noise Isolation is better than average. I can hardly hear environmental noises while commuting on my bike.
Driving the DUNU DK-3001 Pro:-
The DUNU DK-3001 Pro is very easy to drive. I used my wife’s Honor View 10 and it drove the pair really well. I use it with my FiiO M11 Pro on a daily basis using the 4.4mm balanced port. It produces loud enough output at around 50% volume level on my M11 Pro.
Initially, the Lower end with the DUNU DK-3001 Pro was a bit dull. But after burning it for about 150 hours, the dynamic driver has opened up really well. The bass now is snappy, deep, and well textured. The pair has a warmish neutral sound quality. It shows pretty good detail retrieval with no signs of sibilance or harshness at all. The pair has a slight U shaped sound signature where the bass and treble portions are forward and mids feel a bit recessed.
The overall output feels natural and balanced. I personally have never heard such neat and balanced output from any pair at this price range. I have listened to several other pairs ever since I got this one and I am always gonna keep it. Vocals feel crisp, the soundstage is wide. I listen to Vocal based, EDM, Rock, and Pop music. The pair performs so well that I get goosebumps listening to my favorite songs.
The DUNU DK-3001 Pro has a well detailed textured lower end, but it takes a burn-in period of about 150 hours for it to open up completely. The drum thumps are fast, deep, and detailed. Though one might note that the bass quantity is not much, the quality is top-notch. If you are looking for a pair with perfectly balanced sound and powerful thumps, this pair is precisely tuned for you. The sub-bass shows good rumble too. The lower end is controlled well within its region and doesn’t leak to other segments of the frequency response range. Listening to Bad Guy by Billie Eilish is pretty decent here, the bass thumps are lush with details. EDM artists like Daft Punk, Hardwell sound pretty well with the pair.
The mids section feels slightly recessed here, It’s not bad in my opinion. It brings out the treble and lower end details in the front. Vocals are crisp, rich, and lush. There seems to be a bump in upper mids/lower treble because the vocals are upfront. I mostly listen to vocal-based artists like Damien Rice, Sara Bareilles, London Grammar, and more. They show a natural tone with good heaviness in the voice and are a bliss to listen with the DK 3001 Pro. The Piano and vocals in Animals Were Gone by Damien Rice are produced in a very beautiful manner. Piano keys are lively in Unfaithful by Rihanna too.
The DUNU DK-3001 Pro shows a very smooth and detailed treble portion. Musical Instruments show very good detailing. There is also no harshness or sibilance with any instruments whether it be violin in Wonder Woman Theme by Tina Guo or Cymbals in Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. If you listen to heavy metal songs like the songs by Opeth, Disturbed, and more artists you won’t be disappointed as the pair retrieves superb details.
The DUNU DK-3001 Pro produces a beautiful sound stage. It is wide, shows good depths too. I listen to MTV Unplugged recordings every other day, they sound simply beautiful with the balanced signature from the pair. Talking about soundstage I always try Starlings by Yosi Horikawa, it lived up with the 3D stage representation on the DK 3001 Pro. Imaging is also very good with the pair with crisp instrument details.
The pair sounds exceptionally well, a purely balanced sound output. Bass is rich and deep, vocals are crisp, and the treble portion shows good extensions. The pair reproduces instruments in a rich layered manner. I personally feel like the pair nails in every department whether it be build quality, cable quality, or its rich sound output. Is it worth the 469$ price tag?? In my humble opinion, HELL YEAH!!!!
