It’s been so long that I bought the DUNU DK-3001 Pro and its review is pending ever since then. It got delayed as I sent this unit to a very good friend of mine for auditioning, but sadly it was a bad time to courier as lockdown started in my country due to Covid-19. Finally, I got the unit back yesterday, after a full 71 days of courier travel. And luckily I had a holiday today so I photographed this gem. I am going to share my final review in a day or two for the same too as its properly burned-in now about 300+ hours of usage till now. But in this blog today I will share my initial impressions which I made notes when I received them.
I didn’t post it back then as my studio light setup was dead and I couldn’t click good images. I got it from Hifigo, obviously at a discounted price for my review. It retails at 469$ at the time of writing this blog. I am not affiliated or paid by anyone to write a positive or negative review and have a free will to express what I hear. Be prepared for some eyegasm with beautiful images coming right away.

Initial Impressions:-
Do you know how it feels when you save up entire month to buy something and it reaches you, Yes that happend with me. I was super excited by reading so many reviews on head-fi, the feeling of getting my very own high grade IEM. The DUNU DK-3001 Pro delivers what it says, it has a warm smooth sound quality with superb detailing. It has a slight U shaped sound profile with a bit recessed mids.
Though initially, I found the lower end to be dull, there were not good enough thumps(Or I can say I came to Dunu from CA Polaris and that my friend is the god of bass). But I can guarantee once the DD unit opens up(around 100hours of burn-in is what it took for me) you will just love the smooth textured bass response from the pair, now I don’t wanna explain more here and will tell you more about the after burn-in response in the final review. The mids as evident from a slight U shaped signature, are a bit recessed. The pair produces beautiful acoustic details and crisp vocals. I will tell you guys more in the final review which I am trying to publish in a day or two.
I really hope you guys liked the images that I shared today for this outstanding pair. Stay tuned with my blog, like my blog page on Facebook here. Stay safe, enjoy your music.
Thank You
Definitely dk3001pro would be one of the best sounding and detailing machine in a sub $500 band. Auditioning it for almost a week I had a kind of feeling like I should add more into my kitty for different kind of tastes. Thanks pulkit for letting it happen. Pictures are gem in the photographer,,?
Thanks man!!
